Beef dumplings
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. For beef dumplings, knead a firm yet pliable dough. Add flour carefully—it may not turn out exactly as the recipe suggests, since flour varies greatly in gluten content. So proceed boldly but wisely, adjusting according to the dough's consistency. Add more flour if needed, but only in small amounts. The filling will be juicy thanks to the onion and water, but it must be thoroughly mixed. Some people also add grated potato to the filling—it works well too! A couple of potatoes won't hurt, if you're not worried about starch. Dumplings cook quickly; cooking time depends on their size and your preference. It's best to make them by hand, if you have the time! Good luck, and enjoy your meal!
