Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. If you like dumplings, this recipe is for you. The principle of preparing this tasty dish made of dough and meat is the same, only the dough is made in an unconventional way (using icy water). Use any filling you prefer (in this case, chicken mince). Serve the finished dish immediately.

Step 1

1. This dough is as simple as possible. I really love making dumplings with this kind of dough. Before, I used to make it with boiling water—the dough would scald and turn out completely different—but I prefer the version made with icy water. Mix cold water with flour, add salt, and knead into an elastic dough.

Step 2

2. You can use any minced meat, the main thing is to add plenty of onion. This time I wanted to make dumplings with chicken mince (I made it myself from different parts of the chicken). Finely chop the onion and add it to the meat. Season with salt and spices to taste (I only use ground black pepper). I add a little water and then thoroughly mix the mince.

Step 3

3. Roll out a thin layer of dough and cut out circles using household items (I use a cup). Place a portion of the filling in the center, then seal the edges. You can use a dumpling press to save time.

Step 4

4. While shaping the dumplings, you can put the water on to boil. Once it comes to a boil, add salt to the water and drop in the dumplings. Wait until the water boils again and the dumplings float to the surface. Cook for a couple more minutes, then remove the cooked dumplings.

Step 5

5. I like dumplings with butter, but you can add anything you like to taste (sour cream, mayonnaise, broth, vinegar, etc.).
