
Liver fritters with potato
Description
The recipe will not take much time. These colourful pancakes can feed the whole family, or you can take them to work or on a trip. This dish is very handy to make for freezing in containers; they are easy to reheat in the microwave in a few minutes. If you like, you can add small pieces of pork fat to the mixture. You can serve them with tea or coffee.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the chicken liver in water and remove the membranes. Peel the potatoes and onion, then rinse them in water.

Grind the liver, potatoes, and onion through a meat grinder, transferring the mixture into a deep container.

Add the salt and ground black pepper, and crack in the chicken egg. Mix the whole mixture thoroughly.

Add the wheat flour and knead everything again. Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes. It must not be thick! Its consistency should be the same as pancake batter.

Heat a skillet with vegetable oil and, using a tablespoon, place portions of the prepared liver batter into it. Fry over medium heat for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

Turn over to the other side and fry for the same length of time.

Place the warm liver pancakes on a plate and serve with sour cream or thick plain yogurt.
