
Liver dumplings
Description

This dish is perfect for everyday meals and is quite easy to prepare. Be sure to save this recipe! You can use any type of liver, but dumplings made with chicken liver turn out especially tender. Serve the dish hot.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Crumble the bread and soak it in cream.

Pass the bread together with the liver through a meat grinder or process in a blender.

Finely chop the onion and sauté in butter.

Mix the liver mixture with the sautéed onions. Add eggs, salt to taste, and spices. I add breadcrumbs in portions until the desired consistency is reached. You can substitute breadcrumbs with flour.

The finished liver mixture should not be too runny or too thick.

Bring salted water to a boil. Take small portions of the liver mixture (no more than half a teaspoon), and using a second spoon to help, slide each dumpling into the pot. Cook the dumplings for about 5 minutes after they float to the surface.

Liver dumplings are ready. You can drizzle them with butter and serve with sour cream, or you can prepare any side dish.
