Cookies
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. Hamantash, or "Aman's Ears"—that's what these cookies are called—and they are baked for the Purim holiday. The dough for these cookies can vary (shortbread, yeast-based), as every homemaker has her own favorite recipe, but the shape must be strictly triangular, resembling the ears of the villain Haman, who plotted to destroy all the Jews of Persia. And the filling is also a must—poppy seed, dried fruit, or thick jam. Delicious. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
