1. Prepare the ingredients for the cookies. Melt the margarine in a double boiler. Remove the nuts from their shells and grind them in a blender into fine crumbs. Freeze the currants in the freezer so they don't get crushed during dough mixing.

2. Dissolve the powdered sugar in warm margarine.

3. Add the nut crumbs and currants to the margarine-sugar mixture, mix quickly.

4. Add the flour mixed with starch, fruit essence or vanilla. Carefully mix the dough with a spoon.

6. Lay plastic wrap on the table, place the dough on it, shape it into a log, wrap it in the plastic, and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
