Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rub the butter with sugar.
- 2
Step 2

Add honey to the butter and melt it all over a water bath.
- 3
Step 3

Mix the flour, soda, and ground spices.
- 4
Step 4

Add the flour and spice mixture to the oil and honey mixture.
- 5
Step 5

Knead the dough thoroughly and refrigerate it for at least 5 hours, or preferably overnight.
- 6
Step 6

Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough into a thin layer. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters. If you don't have cookie cutters, no problem. Cut circles with a glass, then press a pattern onto the dough circles using the fluted bottom of the glass. It will look beautiful :)

Step 7

The dough is very fragile, carefully transfer it using a spatula onto a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 7-8 minutes.

Step 8

Cookies bake very quickly, so keep an eye on them. Cool the baked cookies and place them in a jar, then cover with a lid. They need to "ripen." Freshly baked cookies are not as tasty; they become more delicious the next day.
