Cookies
Description
Homemade treats for tea. "Sweet bread." That's what this baked good is called in translation. You can buy this cookie at the store, but I prefer to make it myself. It's a round-shaped cookie with a crispy crust, yet very tender inside. It melts in your mouth. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance. Put softened butter into a bowl, add sugar, and mix in the egg.
- 2
Step 2

2. Using a mixer, I turn the mixture into a uniform crumb (this took me about 10 minutes).

Step 3

3. I sift the flour in advance and add it in small portions (I used almost three cups, possibly less may be needed).
- 4
Step 4

4. I knead a soft and elastic dough, and by no means overwork it with flour.

Step 5

5. Pinch off small pieces from the total mass and roll them into balls. Place the cookies on a baking sheet.

Step 6

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until a light yellow crust forms, making sure not to over-brown it; otherwise, instead of airy cookies, you'll get dry crackers (approximately 7–12 minutes).
