
Brown Butter Cookies

This recipe yields approximately 8 cookies, each about 7.5 cm in diameter. Serve the cookies with jam (such as raspberry), whipped cream, or butter. Enjoy cooled or slightly warm.

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Prepare the browned butter. To do this, melt the butter in a saucepan or small pot over medium heat for several minutes. Cook until it turns golden-brown and develops a nutty aroma.

2. Stir the butter with a wooden spoon when it begins to foam. When the butter starts to simmer, remove the pan from the heat and let the butter cool to room temperature.

3. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Carefully pour the browned butter and milk into the dry ingredients in the bowl.

4. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 1 cm thick disc.
