Cookies with caramel in chocolate
Description
Homemade treats for tea. The idea of making such cookies is no secret. I used caramel candies as a filling, wrapped them in dough, and baked in the oven. You can use regular chocolate or jelly candies instead. These cookies can surprise and delight, and they also make a great gift. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Put brown sugar and white sugar into a bowl (reserve a little for sprinkling). Add eggs, vanilla sugar, and softened butter that I previously took out of the refrigerator.
- 2
Step 2

2. Add cocoa and baking powder, thoroughly mix the mass until uniform consistency.
- 3
Step 3

3. Sift the flour in advance and pour it into a bowl, knead the dough, divide it into 4 parts. Wrap each part in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

4. After the allotted time, I take the dough out of the refrigerator, roll each portion into a sausage-shaped roll, unwrap the candies, and transfer them to a bowl.
- 5
Step 5

5. Cut each sausage into 12 pieces, like for dumplings.
- 6
Step 6

6. Roll out each piece slightly and place one candy in the center. The dough in the center of the rolled-out wrappers should be a bit thicker so that the candy doesn't tear through it.
- 7
Step 7

7. The cookies will settle and spread a bit in the oven, so I place them on a dry baking sheet with some space between each.
- 8
Step 8

8. I roll half of the cookies in white sugar for a nice appearance.
- 9
Step 9

9. Place the breaded cookies on a baking sheet, also spaced apart from each other.
- 10
Step 10

10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 7-15 minutes. The exact time depends on the oven's power and features.
- 11
Step 11

11. I carefully transfer the ready cookies onto a cooling rack, then serve them.
