
Tea and spice cookies
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. A recipe for making shortbread cookies with spices and tea leaves. You can use any brand of tea that you like. If desired, you can glaze the cookies with vanilla icing. Serve with tea or coffee.

1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees. Line a pie dish with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg.

2. In a small separate bowl, mix one teaspoon of the mixture with 2 tablespoons of sugar, and set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, mix tea leaves and spice mixture with flour and salt, set aside.

4. In a large bowl, use a mixer to beat the butter and remaining sugar. Add the flour mixture and beat until the dough resembles wet sand.

5. Place the resulting dough into a pie pan. Sprinkle the top with a mixture of sugar and spices.

6. Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is firm and the edges are golden. Let the finished pie cool, slice it, and serve.
