
Bacon cookies
Description
Homemade baked treats for tea. This unusual cookie can serve as a great snack for a party. The combination of fried bacon with peanut butter makes these cookies incredibly delicious. They are very quick to prepare. Serve with tea or coffee.

1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add bacon slices and cook until done, until the bacon turns golden brown.

2. Place the bacon on paper towels to cool and drain the fat. Once the bacon has cooled, chop it into small pieces and set aside. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, use a mixer to beat peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth, for about 2 minutes.

4. Add eggs, baking soda, and beat for another 2 minutes.

5. Add bacon pieces and mix.

6. Shape the resulting dough into balls the size of a large nut.

7. Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet and press them crosswise with a fork. Optionally, you can roll the balls in sugar first, then press them with a fork.

8. Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes, until nicely browned. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then serve immediately.
