Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Sift flour and powdered sugar into two separate bowls. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Add egg whites one at a time. Add the sifted flour and mix well. Add vanilla. Add food coloring until the desired shade is achieved. Preheat the oven to 190°C with two racks placed in the center. Place two French silicone baking mats (Silpats) on two baking sheets. Using a template, shape the dough into heart-shaped cookies. Bake the cookies until done, for 3 to 5 minutes. Let them cool slightly. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Serve the finished dessert.
