Cookies
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. To make the cookies “striped,” the dough needs to be well chilled in the freezer. Chilled dough slices better. Be sure to take this nuance into account. The pastries are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Take two bowls. Put 100 grams of soft butter, 1 egg, 2 tbsp sugar, and a pinch of salt into each. Mash with a fork.
- 3
Step 3

Add the specified amount of flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder to each bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Add cocoa powder to one of the bowls.
- 5
Step 5

Start kneading the dough with a spoon. As soon as it becomes difficult to stir, knead it by hand. If the dough is too soft, add a couple of tablespoons of flour, but do not overload the dough with flour. It should turn out soft.
- 6
Step 6

Wrap the finished dough in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

After the time has elapsed, roll out the light part into a sheet 0.3 cm thick. Spread the cranberries over it.
- 8
Step 8

Place the rolled-out sheet of dark dough on top of the light dough. Gently roll the layers so they stick together.
- 9
Step 9

Cut the layers into 4 parts.
- 10
Step 10

Gather the strips into one "bar." Roll it lightly. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 40 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

After the time has passed, take the "bar" of dough out of the freezer. It should be slightly frozen. Slice it into cookies about 1 cm thick. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put the baking sheet into an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Take into account the specifics of your oven.
- 12
Step 12

After the specified time has elapsed, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let it cool slightly and remove the cookies from the sheet.
- 13
Step 13

The pastry is ready. Serve with tea.
