Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. To make shortbread cookies, you'll need just a minimal set of ingredients and very little time. To make the cookies look more attractive and original, shape them like little leaves. These pastries can beautifully decorate your holiday table. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.

Cut the cold butter into cubes or small squares and place it in a bowl. Add granulated sugar and two chicken eggs. Mix all the ingredients until smooth.

Sift the flour several times through a sieve. Add it to the bowl with the remaining ingredients. Add salt and baking soda there as well.

Knead an elastic dough. If it sticks to your hands, the butter in it has overheated. In this case, place the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour to cool down.

After the dough has cooled, take it out of the refrigerator and roll it out on the work surface into a rope about one and a half centimeters thick. Cut the rope into equal pieces two centimeters long.

Using a knife, shape the pieces of dough into leaf shapes. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the leaves with beaten egg. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for 30 minutes.
