Cookie on a stick
Description
Baking is simple and quick. There is a small nuance in making the cookies. Since the dough is made from vegetable oil, it doesn’t need to rest. Once prepared, go straight to shaping. So first the filling, then the dough. Otherwise, the dough “gets salty,” the oil starts to leak out, and the cookies turn tasteless and hard. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the necessary ingredients. Pears should be firm.
- 2
Step 2

Start by preparing the filling: peel the pears, cut them into small pieces. Transfer to a sauté pan/pot. Add water, sugar and cinnamon. Place over medium heat and simmer until the liquid disappears and it reaches a puree consistency.
- 3
Step 3

Add nuts to the prepared pear puree, stir, and chill.
- 4
Step 4

Make the dough: combine sugar, butter, egg in a bowl. Mix thoroughly with a fork.
- 5
Step 5

Add flour, baking powder.
- 6
Step 6

Knead a soft dough.
- 7
Step 7

Take 2 sheets of parchment. Divide the dough into two parts. Roll each out on a strip of parchment.
- 8
Step 8

Arrange the filling on one of the parts as separate “islands”.
- 9
Step 9

Cover with the second part of the dough.
- 10
Step 10

Using a glass, cut out the cookies.
- 11
Step 11

Transfer the cookies onto a baking sheet. Press the edges of the cookies with a fork. Divide the wooden skewers into three parts (if they are long), soak them well and insert them into the cookies. Place them to bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 12–15 minutes. Make more cookies from the remaining dough in the same way.
- 12
Step 12

After the time is up, remove the cookies, leaving them on the tray to cool slightly, and then transfer them to a plate. Only after the cookies have completely cooled can you pick them up by the stick.
- 13
Step 13

Take it out of the oven and serve warm or cooled.
