Valentine's Day Cookies
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. As you can see, the little cut-out hearts look wonderful too, especially when decorated with pink sugar hearts and served on the same plate with classic Valentine's Day cookies. The baking is done. Serve and enjoy.

1. In a bowl or on a cutting board, rub cold butter cubes with sifted flour by hand until a crumbly mixture forms.

2. Make a "hill" and place the egg, sugar, and lemon zest in the center.

3. Knead a smooth, uniform dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least half an hour.

4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 0.3-0.4 cm, cut out heart-shaped cookies. In half of them, cut out small hearts in the center.

5. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Put the baking sheet with the cookies in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Then bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 5-10 minutes, until lightly golden.

6. Let cool and spread the solid cookies with jam.
