Cookies
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. Coconut cookies are easy to pack for school, work, a picnic, or a trip. They don’t take long to make—the main thing is to chill the dough before baking. The dessert turns out crisp, crumbly, and very fragrant. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the specified ingredients.

Step 2

Place good-quality butter in a deep container and melt it in the microwave or in a double boiler, but do not bring it to a boil. You can replace the butter with margarine, but not with spread. Add salt, granulated sugar, and shredded coconut to the container. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Crack in a chicken egg and whisk everything with a whisk or a fork.
- 4
Step 4

Add the baking powder and wheat flour in batches, then knead into a firm shortcrust dough.
- 5
Step 5

Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a bag and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Divide the chilled dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball. Dip each ball in confectioners’ sugar and place on parchment paper on a baking sheet.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the cookies on the upper oven rack for about 12–15 minutes. Watch them so they do not burn.
- 8
Step 8

Place the fragrant cookies on a plate and serve them with warm milk, tea, or lemonade.
