Description
Recipe for making cookies from chocolate and vanilla dough with sugar glaze. This recipe yields 6 dozen cookies.

1. Make chocolate cookies. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Add egg and beat. Mix in vanilla. Add the flour mixture in two batches, mixing well before each addition.

2. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll each part into a rectangle about 15 cm in length. Wrap each piece in plastic wrap and straighten the sides to form a square shape. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

3. Make vanilla cookies. Sift flour and salt together into a bowl. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat. Mix in vanilla. Add the flour mixture in two batches, mixing well before each addition.

5. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Take 1 rectangle each of vanilla and chocolate dough out of the refrigerator, remove the plastic wrap. Place them side by side and slice into pieces about 1 cm thick.

6. Using a cutter, cut a clover shape out of each slice. Place chocolate clovers inside the cut-out vanilla slices, and vanilla clovers inside the chocolate slices.

7. Place the cookies 4 cm apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15 minutes. Let cool completely.

8. To make the icing, beat the powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk together. Add vanilla and mix well. If the icing is too thick, add more milk. If the icing is too thin, add more sugar. Decorate the cooled cookies with the icing.
