Description

Next time, I plan to add some ground nuts and cinnamon to the filling—I think it will be delicious. But even without them, this dessert is definitely worth making. Serve it cooled or slightly warm.

1. Prepare the dough: sift the flour, mix it with the butter, and cut into fine crumbs. Then add the egg, salt, matzoni, baking soda, and vinegar.

2. For the cream soak, mix the remaining butter with sugar and flour. Add vanilla sugar and knead everything by hand.

3. Roll out the dough into a sheet, spread with the butter-sugar mixture, and roll tightly into a log. Gently roll over the log with a rolling pin to slightly flatten it.
