Step 1

1. I put the butter in the refrigerator in advance, then grate it on a coarse grater.

Step 2

2. Sift the flour and mix with baking soda, then add to the butter. Rub with your hands into crumbs.

Step 3

3. Add 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar and vanilla, mix well.

Step 4

4. I crush the nuts into crumbs (using a rolling pin and blender) and add them to the dough, also adding a chicken egg.
- 5
Step 5

5. Knead the dough, then place it in a plastic bag or wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 6

6. After half an hour, I take out the dough and roll it out into a sheet about 5 millimeters thick. Using a cookie cutter, I cut out an even number of cookies.

Step 7

7. I set aside half of the cutouts, and for the other half, I trim them with another cutter of the same shape but slightly smaller (resulting in flower-shaped rings).

Step 8

8. Place the rings onto whole forms. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper, place the cookies on it, and bake in a preheated oven at 180-190 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes. Transfer the baked cookies onto a cooling rack and let them cool.
