Cookies from yeast dough
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. It is said that when birds, including larks, return, the frosts will retreat and the beautiful spring will take over. To drive away the cold faster, make birds at home. Larks made from yeast dough are easy to prepare. Be sure to make larks together with children—they will surely enjoy it. You can create your own bird shapes and add beaks to them.

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, mix the yeast, warm boiled water, and a spoonful of honey. Let it sit for 10 minutes. In another bowl, beat the eggs until foamy. Add honey, oil, milk, and salt, then whisk again. Gradually add flour and knead into an elastic dough. Place the dough in a bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise until doubled in volume.

Step 4

4. Cut the longer tail into 3-4 pieces. This will be the tail of our lark.

6. Place the roosters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Keep in mind that they will rise further, so leave some space between them. Brush the surface of the roosters with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
