Instructions
- 1
Step 1

The dough for this pastry is incredibly easy to prepare, so even a beginner cook can handle it. Sift half of the specified amount of flour into a bowl. Grate the chilled butter on a coarse grater directly into the same bowl.
- 2
Step 2

Sift the remaining flour on top. Rub the butter and flour together with your hands until you get fine crumbs. This dough is somewhat similar in texture to classic puff pastry.
- 3
Step 3

Now you need to pour the entire volume of beer into the resulting crumbs. You can choose absolutely any type of beer to your taste. The main thing is that it should be fresh and not stale.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the dough first with a fork or spoon in a bowl, then knead by hand on a work surface. Dust the dough with flour until it no longer sticks to your hands. You should end up with an elastic dough ball.
- 5
Step 5

Now you need to roll out the prepared dough. You can do this using a rolling pin or a wine bottle (if you don't have a rolling pin at hand). The dough should be rolled out to about half a centimeter in thickness.
- 6
Step 6

Using an ordinary glass or shot glass, cut out circles from the dough. If you have any cookie cutters, those will work too. Then the cookies will be more interesting and prettier.
- 7
Step 7

Take walnuts and chop them finely. Sprinkle the dough circles first with sugar, then with crushed nuts. You can use not only walnuts, but also peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, or cashews.
- 8
Step 8

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the dough on a baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. This time will be quite enough, as thin dough bakes very quickly.
