Cookies from baby food
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Almost any baby cereal can be used to make cookies from baby food. The cookies turn out similar to shortbread, and their sweetness depends on the sugar content of the cereal. You can bake baby food cookies not only on foil but also on parchment paper, previously greased with oil. Children love these cookies with milk. Instead of raisins, you can add chopped dried fruits or nuts, or omit any additions altogether—either way, they will taste delicious. Feel free to experiment. Serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. You can use different cereals (I used these ones); if your cereals are slightly lighter or heavier in weight, don't worry—cookies will turn out great anyway.
- 2
Step 2

2. Pour the dry infant formula into a bowl. If you are using several different cereals together, it's not a problem—just mix them.
- 3
Step 3

3. Rub the butter (it should be soft) into the porridge. Then add the egg and mix thoroughly until smooth.
- 4
Step 4

4. Add the raisins and mix the dough well so that they are evenly distributed and present in each cookie.
- 5
Step 5

5. Let the finished dough rest for a little while, 10-15 minutes will be enough. Divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a walnut).

Step 6

6. Roll the balls to make their surface smoother and more even. Then press each ball from the top to form a round flatbread (you can also roll it out with a rolling pin). Place the prepared flatbreads onto a baking sheet lined with oiled foil.

Step 7

7. Bake the baby food cookies at 160–180 degrees for about 10–15 minutes. They bake very quickly, so watch carefully to prevent burning!
