
Whole grain fig and chocolate cookies

Homemade baked treats for tea. No one can resist the aroma of freshly baked homemade cookies, right? So why not make these cookies on your day off! The process is simple. Instead of regular flour, we'll use whole grain flour, which will give the cookies a special flavor and aroma. You can adjust the amount of chocolate to your taste and preference.

1. We will need soft butter for the cookies, so take it out of the refrigerator in advance and place it in a warm spot.

2. Add the flour mixed with salt and baking powder to the butter.

3. And rub everything into crumbs with a spoon.

4. Add sugar (regular and vanilla) and egg. Mix well.

5. Cut the figs into small pieces. If your figs are very dry, soak them briefly in boiling water, then drain and dry.

6. Add pieces of fig and chocolate to the dough. You can use any chocolate: white, milk, or dark. I use chocolate chips.

7. Now knead the dough thoroughly with your hands.

8. Divide the dough into 16 parts, then roll each part into a ball.

9. Then shape flat biscuit-like patties about 6-7 mm thick. Place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
