Gata cookies
Description
Delicious pastry for the whole family. Prepare the dough: 2/3 of the flour, sour cream, dry yeast, and half of the butter. The dough should be thick. Place it in the refrigerator for 3 hours. Next, prepare the filling using the remaining ingredients. It should resemble wet sand. Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll each one out. Evenly spread the filling over each piece and roll them into a log. Brush with egg yolk and cut each log into 8–10 pieces. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Step 1

First, prepare the dough. Take about 2/3 of the flour and sift it. Add dry yeast, sour cream, and half of the melted butter. Mix well by hand or with a mixer. The result should be a uniform, fairly thick dough that doesn't stick too much to your hands. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 3 hours.
