Chocolate cookies for children
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. We always try to make cookies for children using natural ingredients and involve our little helpers in the process. They love cutting out shaped cookies from the dough. And if they need to be decorated with chocolate, as in this recipe, you won't be able to get the kids out of the kitchen. I'll tell you how. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Sift the flour into a bowl and add the cold butter, cut into cubes. Rub it in vigorously until it resembles crumbs.

Add the egg yolk, powdered sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

And knead a smooth, elastic dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Roll out the dough into a sheet about 4 mm thick. Cut out cookies from the dough.

Place the cut-out cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

And bake for 13-15 minutes until golden brown. Let the cookies cool.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.

Dip the cooled cookies in chocolate. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the cookies with colorful sprinkles. Place the cookies on parchment paper or a rack to let the chocolate harden.
