Cookies without milk
Description
Many moms suffer because their children are prohibited from consuming milk and dairy products. It's often hard to know what treat to give your child, since store-bought labels don't always list the true ingredients. But there is a solution—try this simple recipe for milk-free cookies. These crispy, aromatic cookies will surely be a hit with your child. My mother-in-law often bakes these cookies during fasting days. And don't worry about the cucumber brine in the ingredients—the smell won't be noticeable in the finished cookies. I'll explain. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

Pour the required amount of brine and vegetable oil into a deep bowl. Add sugar and mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the activated baking soda.

Step 2

To the resulting mixture, add vanilla sugar and gradually sift in the flour in small portions. The dough should turn out dense, soft, and not stick to your hands.

Step 3

Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough into a sheet 0.5–0.8 mm thick. It's very convenient to cut cookies with a decorative knife; if you don't have one, use a glass or cookie cutters to shape the cookies.

Step 4

Place the cut cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased with vegetable oil. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 15–20 minutes. The main thing is not to overbake the cookies—don't let them dry out. Baking time depends on the thickness of your cookies and your particular oven.
