Cookies
Description
Simple and affordable cookies. You can add any filling inside: jam, marmalade, chocolate, or fruit—everything depends on your taste preferences. These cookies are perfect with tea or as a snack to take to school or work. All ingredients are available in any grocery store. You can dust the cookies with powdered sugar or brush them with beaten egg before baking to get a golden, shiny crust. 1. Melt the butter. Mix flour with baking powder and salt, then add to the butter. Add sour cream and knead into an elastic dough. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. 2. After the allotted time, take the dough out, pinch off a piece, and roll it into a thin circle. Cut the circle into 8–10 triangular slices (depending on diameter). 3. Cut the marmalade into small pieces so they fit onto the dough without spilling over the edges. Place a piece on the wide end of each triangle. 4. Roll up each triangle into a small roll, brush each roll with beaten egg, and place them on a greased baking sheet (or one lined with parchment paper). Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30 minutes. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
