Liver stewed in cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. There are plenty of ways to cook liver. This version is universal and even suitable for very picky children, as the liver turns out tender and mild, without any excessive bitterness. You can prepare this dish using beef or pork liver. Sometimes chicken liver is used as well. I decided to go with a rather standard option—pork liver. Serve hot.

Step 1

Rinse the liver thoroughly under cool water. Cut into small pieces. Pour half of the cream (about a cup) into a frying pan and place over heat. Add the chopped liver to the cream.

Step 2

Peel the onion. Rinse under running water. Cut into medium cubes. Finely chop the garlic. Add to the liver with the cream. Simmer covered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Next, pour the remaining cream into the mixture and add spices to taste. This can be black ground pepper or basil, depending on preference. I often add chili pepper and dried parsley. Simmer covered for another half hour.

Step 4

Taste and add salt if needed. Serve on a plate, garnish the dish with fresh herbs if possible.
