Pork liver in the oven
Description
Pork liver, like beef liver, has a specific odor. If you have the option to choose, opt for liver from a young pig. To make the liver tender, soft, and juicy, as well as to eliminate any possible unpleasant smell, bake it with vegetables in foil.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the pork liver, pat it dry with paper towels, and cut it into thin pieces (about 4 centimeters long).
- 2
Step 2
Mix savory with salt and rub the mixture on both sides of each piece.
- 3
Step 3
Place flour and vegetable oil into separate bowls. Dip each piece first into the flour, then into the vegetable oil. Arrange the pieces in a baking dish.

Step 4
Peel and thinly slice the onion, peel the carrot and grate it on a coarse grater. Place the vegetables over the liver, pour in 0.5 cup of water, and cover the dish with foil.
- 5
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.

Step 6
Remove the liver from the oven and serve hot with a potato side dish.
