Pork liver with sour cream
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Grains or mashed potatoes make an excellent side dish for this dish. My favorites are buckwheat and mashed potatoes. I love cooking liver this way because it's quick and easy. Just about 20 minutes—and dinner is ready. If desired, you can soak the liver in milk beforehand. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Wash the pork liver and remove the membranes.
- 2
Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse under running water, and slice into quarter-rings.
- 3
Step 3
Cut into longitudinal slices about 2.5 centimeters thick.
- 4
Step 4
Season each piece of liver with salt and pepper on both sides. If you don't like hot pepper, you can omit it.
- 5
Step 5
On a heated skillet, melt the butter.
- 6
Step 6
First, sauté the chopped onion until soft and golden brown.
- 7
Step 7
As soon as the onion is ready, transfer it to a plate and set aside for now.
- 8
Step 8
Now we will prepare the liver directly. Fry it over high heat for 7-8 minutes on each side.
- 9
Step 9
As soon as the liver finishes frying on the second side, add the onions on top. Gently stir to distribute them evenly across the entire frying pan.
- 10
Step 10
Add the sour cream to the liver and onions. Gently spread it over the liver. Cook everything on low heat for 5 minutes.
- 11
Step 11
Then turn the pieces of liver and cook for another 5 minutes on the second side.
- 12
Step 12
Then place the cooked liver on a plate and pour the sour cream-onion sauce on top. Ready!
