Description

English cuisine is famous for its simple, affordable, and hearty dishes, and English-style liver is no exception. Even a beginner cook can easily prepare it—it's an everyday meal packed with calories, no kidding! But this kind of food—simple, wholesome, and nourishing—was exactly what English shepherds, woodcutters, and farmers needed, as they labored hard all day long in the rather unfriendly English climate. Clever British housewives long ago realized that a juicy piece of liver, crispy bacon, hot potatoes drizzled with melted butter could turn even the sternest Anglo-Saxon into a purring kitten. But let's face it—our climate isn't exactly mild either! And we've got plenty of men doing physical labor, too. So if you've got a shepherd or woodcutter in your family, go ahead and master this easy recipe for English-style liver. It'll come in handy ;)
