
Chicken liver à la française
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Liver can be served as a standalone dish or used as an ingredient in salads, stir-fries, or soups. This recipe yields a juicy, tender, and very tasty dish. You will need: liver, onion, mushrooms, tomato, garlic, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Start cooking. Serve hot.

1. Rinse the liver and remove the films and veins. Place the liver in a bowl, add water and lemon juice, and let it sit for fifteen minutes. Then drain the water and rinse the liver.

2. Wash the mushrooms, clean and slice them.

3. Peel the tomato (by pouring boiling water over it or cutting the skin off with a sharp knife), then cut it into small pieces.

4. Peel the onion, wash it, and chop it finely into small cubes.

5. Peel the garlic and finely chop it.

6. Place the pan over heat, pour in vegetable oil and heat it up. Add the onion; once it becomes translucent, add the garlic, and after 5 minutes add the mushrooms. Once excess moisture has evaporated, add the tomatoes and simmer for about 5–7 minutes. Then add the pieces of liver.

7. After 5 minutes (once the liver is added), add the sour cream, mix thoroughly, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for another 5 minutes. Turn off the heat, cover with a lid, and let it steep. Serve the liver hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
