Mushroom Pâté

Description

The appetizer is quick and easy to prepare. Melt 75 g of butter, add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes until soft. Add the mushrooms, cayenne pepper and sauce. Mix thoroughly, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 25–30 minutes. Transfer the contents to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and add the egg. Cook over very low heat until the mixture thickens, trying not to let it boil. Pour the mixture into a small dish and cool. Serve as a pâté with toast and rolls.
