Chicken pastrami
Description
It works for both holidays and everyday meals. I want to share with you a simple recipe for a very tasty chicken pastrami. This meat is the perfect substitute for store-bought sausage—it tastes much better and is definitely healthier. You can serve chicken pastrami on a holiday table as a cold appetizer, or use it to make a sandwich with your morning coffee or tea. Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the chicken fillets well under running water, then place them in a marinade of water and salt. Marinate for 6 hours in the refrigerator, or longer if you like.
- 2
Step 2

The marinated fillet should be thoroughly patted dry with paper towels, then tied tightly with string (for a neat shape).

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the honey, olive oil, paprika, and garlic pressed through a garlic press. Mix well.

Step 4

Generously brush the fillets with this mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Then bake in an oven preheated to 220°C for 15–20 minutes.

Step 5

When the pastrami is done, don't rush to take it out of the oven. Let it cool to room temperature, then let it finish cooling in the refrigerator. Slice the pastrami into thin slices and serve it at the table.
