Apple marshmallow

Description

This dessert can be stored for up to six months. It looks very attractive in a jar and makes an original sweet gift. My children love these apple organic "chews" :) The fruit leather is prepared quite quickly, and eaten even faster. Try making apple fruit leather at home, using my recipe—perfect for apple harvest season.

    Cut the apples into four pieces, place them in a heavy-bottomed pot, add water, and bring to a boil over low heat. Simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally.

    Remove the lid and simmer the puree, stirring, for 8-12 minutes until thickened.

    Next, strain the puree through a sieve. This will make the fruit leather smooth. Mix the resulting mixture with sugar. Place the baking sheet with a thin layer of apple puree into a preheated oven at 70°C (158°F) for 6–8 hours with ventilation.

    Dry the pastille until firm. The surface should be glossy and shiny. Let the sheet cool and roll it up. For convenience, cut it into several pieces and place them in a jar.
