
Apple fruit leather in a dehydrator
Description
The recipe won't take much time. In this recipe, we use raw apples. That is, we don't cook apple puree, but grind raw apples. This version is much healthier since there's no heat treatment, only drying at a moderate temperature. Therefore, the beneficial properties of apples are preserved, and the fruit leather turns out very tasty and fragrant. Serve chilled.

Prepare the ingredients.

We cut the apples into slices and remove the core.

Pass the apples through a meat grinder. Add cinnamon to the apple puree.

Mix everything with an immersion blender until smooth. If using a blender for solid foods, you can skip the meat grinder step.

We transfer the apple puree onto the meringue tray and spread it into an even layer.

Dry in an electric dehydrator for 6-7 hours at 55-60 degrees. Drying time depends on the juiciness of the apples and the thickness of the apple puree layer. The fruit leather dries but remains pliable.

Roll the pastila into a roll and cut into portion pieces.

Dust with powdered sugar. If you don't consume sugar, skip this step.
