Pastila
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Glühwein can be different—made from red wine, white wine, non-alcoholic, based on pomegranate juice, or even in the form of fruit leather. This is a very tasty natural treat, and I'm sure everyone will enjoy it. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Remove the cores from the apples and bake them in the oven or microwave. In this recipe, the apples were baked covered in the microwave for 7 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

While the apples are baking, blend the cherries with a blender.
- 4
Step 4

Purée the baked apples.
- 5
Step 5

Rub the apples through a sieve, mix with cherry puree, and add orange (or lemon) zest.
- 6
Step 6

Add the sugar and spice mixture. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- 7
Step 7

Spread the fruit puree onto parchment paper. Dry in the oven at the lowest temperature, 50 degrees (if there is a convection function, use convection). Dry for 6–8 hours. The time depends on the thickness of the fruit puree layer. In practice, based on experience, I would now divide this amount of fruit puree between two baking trays.

Step 8

Cut the finished pastila into strips or small pieces, if desired. You'll get a very tasty, natural treat with the flavor of mulled wine.
