
Parsnip in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This dish is very healthy and delicious, even though it might be unfamiliar. Parsnip root has not only pleasant taste qualities but also healing properties. This dish can be served as a main course or as a side dish. Serve hot.

Peel the parsnip and slice it.

Dissolve the flour in a small amount of cold water and mix well. Bring 2 liters of water to a boil, add lemon juice, 1 tsp salt, and the flour-water mixture. Add the parsnip to the pot and cook for 5 minutes over high heat.

In a saucepan or pot, melt the butter, add the broth, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and strained parsnip. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Layer the parsnips in a baking dish, pouring the sauce (in which the parsnips were simmered) over each layer. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake for 15 minutes.
