Pasta with ham and tomatoes
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. It must be admitted that store-bought sauces are far inferior to those you can make yourself. A perfect example is my recipe for pasta with ham and tomatoes. You can buy a ready-made sauce in the supermarket, but... it's just not the same. To achieve the best flavor, it's better to make it yourself. Fortunately, preparing this pasta, like many others, is easy—requiring little time and no difficulties at all. Give it a try—pasta with ham and tomatoes can become an excellent option for a quick lunch or dinner. The finished dish can be served immediately.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

We put the pasta on to cook. Slice the onion into rings, chop the garlic (or mince through a meat grinder), and cut the ham into medium-sized pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
- 3
Step 3

Heat olive oil in a skillet and add the sliced ham. Cook until crispy, then set aside in a separate dish.
- 4
Step 4

Add the onion and garlic to the same heated pan and simmer until the onion becomes soft. Watch the temperature to prevent burning the garlic.
- 5
Step 5

On a skillet, pour the tomatoes from the can (together with the juice), add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over low heat until the mixture thickens.
- 6
Step 6

By this time, the pasta should already be cooked; drain it in a colander and add it to the pan with the tomatoes, then sprinkle with grated cheese. Gently mix everything over low heat until the cheese melts.
