
Pasta with pesto
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Pasta with pesto sauce is quick to prepare. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. For the pesto, blend the ingredients—basil, cheese, garlic, and parsley (optional), along with olive oil. You can add pine nuts or sun-dried tomatoes to the pesto. Then mix the pasta with the pesto, and the dish is ready. Serve hot.

1. Put on the water for the pasta. Peel and slice the garlic, and cut the cheese into cubes.

2. Blend the cheese with garlic in a blender.

3. Add basil and parsley to the blender and pulse briefly.

4. Add olive oil and process again until a paste-like consistency is achieved.

5. Grate lemon zest into a separate small bowl, then squeeze lemon juice into the same bowl.

6. Cook the pasta in salted water, which should have come to a boil by this time. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add lemon zest, lemon juice, and wine. Simmer for a few minutes.

7. Drain the cooked pasta, reserving some of the pasta cooking water. Place the pasta in a pan with the lemon zest, add the pesto, and pour in a little of the reserved pasta water (if the pasta and pesto mixture seems too dry). Mix well.

8. Season the dish with pepper and salt to taste. You can add red pepper flakes if desired. Serve with grated hard cheese (Parmesan).
