Pasta with chicken and broccoli
Description
I love dishes like chicken and broccoli pasta. This dish has a whole heap of advantages and practically no drawbacks. Just look: first, it's quick to prepare—just 20 minutes—and yet it's a proper hot meal, not some random fast food. Second, it's incredibly easy to make, right in one skillet, which is very convenient—minimal dirty dishes and the ingredients blend together beautifully. Third, it's extremely delicious. Very much so :) Plus, there are no unusual ingredients required—all the components needed for this simple chicken and broccoli pasta recipe are usually found in any kitchen (except, of course, for the broccoli and chicken themselves, which you'll need to pick up). In short, it's a perfect dish for a weekday dinner when you don't have much time to cook, but don't want to eat just anything. Here's how to make it:
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Separate the broccoli into florets and cut into small pieces.
- 2
Step 2

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- 3
Step 3

Add pasta to boiling salted water.
- 4
Step 4

Immediately after adding the pasta, place the broccoli in the water.
- 5
Step 5

Cook the pasta until done (however, the pasta should be cooked al dente, i.e. cook for 1-2 minutes less than indicated on the package).
- 6
Step 6

Drain the cooked pasta together with the broccoli in a colander.
- 7
Step 7

Meanwhile, cut the chicken fillet into pieces.
- 8
Step 8

In a skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the chicken pieces.
- 9
Step 9

Add salt, pepper, and spices. Sauté the chicken for 2-3 minutes until it develops a light crust.
- 10
Step 10

As soon as the chicken is browned, add room-temperature milk to the pan.
- 11
Step 11

Add broccoli and pasta to the same pot.
- 12
Step 12

Add grated cheese (Parmesan is ideal, but any other hard cheese will work).
- 13
Step 13

Mix and cook for 3-4 minutes until the chicken and other ingredients are fully cooked.
- 14
Step 14

Pasta with broccoli and chicken is ready.
