Pasta with shrimp in tomato sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. It's very hard to resist this fragrant and juicy pasta, not only for adults but also for children. The dish turns out no worse than in a restaurant, yet it's much cheaper. You don't even need to thaw the shrimp before frying, as they are usually sold cooked and frozen. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Pour water into a cauldron or a pot, add salt, and bring to a boil. Add spaghetti to the water and cook according to the instructions on the package.
- 3
Step 3

Peel the onion and rinse it in water. Cut into small cubes or half-rings. Sauté the onion in vegetable oil for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 4
Step 4

Place the shrimp; they can be added without prior thawing. Season with salt and simmer over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes. The shrimp will release liquid, preventing the onions from burning.
- 5
Step 5

Add tomato paste. If it tastes too sour, sprinkle in a little granulated sugar. At this stage, you can also add dried ground garlic if you like dishes with a piquant flavor.
- 6
Step 6

Simmer everything together for about 3-4 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Drain the spaghetti and place them on a plate. Top with shrimp in tomato sauce, and serve the dish hot. If desired, you can add the spaghetti to the frying pan and mix everything together.
