Pasta with sausage
Description
The recipe won't take much time. A hearty and delicious everyday meal. A very convenient option when you have leftover pasta from last night's dinner. Quick, nutritious, and budget-friendly. Use any pasta made from hard wheat varieties, as you prefer. I used boiled sausage, but you can easily replace it with any other type, or even with ground meat or sausages. Before serving, you can add some grated cheese to the plates—it will make the dish even more delicious and appetizing. Keep this recipe in mind. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. You can replace tomato paste with ketchup, tomatoes in their own juice, or fresh tomatoes. For fresh tomatoes, remove the skin and blend them into a puree. I used regular boiled sausage, but smoked sausage, ham, hunter's sausages, frankfurters, ground meat, or boiled chicken meat will also work.

Step 2

Place the pasta into boiling salted water. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally. To prevent the pasta from sticking together, add 1 tsp of vegetable oil. Do not cover with a lid. Cook until "al dente" (refer to the package instructions for cooking time).
- 3
Step 3

Drain in a colander. Do not rinse with water.
- 4
Step 4

While the pasta is cooking, heat a frying pan with oil. Add the onion cut into cubes. You can also add carrot or bell pepper.
- 5
Step 5

Sauté until soft.
- 6
Step 6

Then add the sliced sausage. If the pasta is large, there's no need to chop it too finely.
- 7
Step 7

Fry the sausage, stirring, until golden brown.
- 8
Step 8

Dilute the tomato paste in water. Pour it into the frying pan. Add minced garlic, salt, and spices. You can add a pinch or two of sugar.
- 9
Step 9

Mix everything and cook for a couple of minutes.
- 10
Step 10

Add the pasta.
- 11
Step 11

Mix, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

The pasta with sausage is ready. If desired, you can sprinkle it with grated cheese or simply garnish with fresh herbs.
