Pasta with squid in creamy sauce
Description
When it comes to the type of cheese for this dish, Parmesan is the ideal choice. In addition, cheddar would also work well here. However, in general, you can use any hard cheese grated over the pasta. Optionally, you can add a bit of sweet paprika to the sauce. This will give the dish a delicate pinkish hue and a slight extra kick of flavor.

Step 1

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add the spaghetti. Cook the spaghetti until done. Check the cooking time on the package. To prevent the pasta from sticking, add a spoonful of vegetable oil to the water.

Step 2

Wash the squid bodies and dry them with a paper towel. Remove all innards and cartilage. Cut the squids into rings or half-rings.

Step 3

Peel the onion and chop it into small pieces. Sauté the onion in butter until translucent. Add cream and sour cream to the same skillet. To this sauce, add a pinch of nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Now add the squid to the sauce and simmer for five minutes.
