
Pasta with mushrooms in tomato sauce

1. Italian pasta is similar to pasta products, but it is made from durum wheat. First, cook the spaghetti until half-done, drain in a colander, and rinse.

2. Separately sauté the chopped ham with onions and mushrooms. If you have time, you can use wild mushrooms, but I haven't experimented with them and always use button mushrooms.

3. Peel the tomatoes by first placing them in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Then pass them through a meat grinder, blend in a blender, or strain through a sieve—whichever method is convenient for you. After that, transfer them to a frying pan together with garlic.

4. Add a little water and simmer for about five minutes over low heat. You can add herbs if desired, but the essential ingredient is pasta seasoning.

5. Place the spaghetti on a plate and pour the tomato, mushroom, and ham sauce over the top. Garnish with olives, as well as herbs, cheese, and red pepper.
