Pasta by Jamie Oliver
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Jamie Oliver has several carbonara recipes, as the dish is very versatile and can be prepared in completely different ways. To make Jamie Oliver's "Carbonara" pasta, you'll need linguine pasta, cream, minced meat (for meatballs), cheese, and eggs. Despite involving several separate steps, the dish is very simple and quick to make. The finished dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Season the ground meat with salt and pepper. Optionally, add Provence herbs or meat seasoning to taste. Shape the meat into small balls. If making larger ones (like meatballs), you'll get about 6 pieces.
- 2
Step 2

You can prepare the meatballs in various ways: by frying, stewing, or baking them in the oven. I usually fry sliced bacon, add it to the pot with the meatballs along with the frying fat, and then bake until done. You can also stew them in a pot.
- 3
Step 3

I recommend browning the meatballs before placing them in the cauldron.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the bacon into pieces, fry it, and add it to the meatballs. Bake in a pot or on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200-210 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Prepare a creamy sauce for it. Mix the yolks.
- 6
Step 6

Add lemon zest to the yolks (or pure lemon juice if you prefer a more sour taste).
- 7
Step 7

Also add grated Parmesan and cream to the yolks with lemon zest, and mix everything.
- 8
Step 8

Place the cooked pasta onto a heated skillet with a small amount of olive oil.
- 9
Step 9

Add the sauce made from cream and egg yolks. By the way, you can add grated cheese separately. Stir until the sauce heats through, but do not let the eggs curdle; it should thicken slightly.
- 10
Step 10

The cheese should soften, but don't overdo it, otherwise everything will clump together and start to burn.
- 11
Step 11

By that time, the meatballs will also be ready. Serve the finished "Carbonara" pasta by Jamie Oliver, sprinkled with grated parsley.
- 12
Step 12

And I also recommend sprinkling with grated cheese; it pairs perfectly with white wine.
