Description

A delicious appetizer for any gathering. A very tasty and nutritious pollock liver pâté — an ideal cold appetizer even for a festive table. Serve the dish with toasted bread slices, crackers, toasts, in tortillas, etc. If desired, you can add other fresh herbs along with green onions. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Boil the chicken eggs in advance for 12 minutes from when the water comes to a boil, then cool them in cold water.

    Peel the boiled chicken eggs, rinse them in water so that not even a speck of shell remains. Finely chop and place in a deep bowl. If desired, the chicken eggs can be grated on a fine-hole grater.

    Also mince the cod liver and add it to the bowl, without removing the oil it was in. Rinse the green onion stalks and mince them. Add them to the other ingredients.

    Place mayonnaise of any fat content into a container. Pour in 1–1.5 tbsp of the oil left in the can from the minke whale liver.

    Season with salt and pepper. If the pollock liver is too salty, you can omit the salt from the ingredient list.

    Gently mix everything together and serve the pâté at the table, garnished to taste. The appetizer keeps for 2 days in the refrigerator.
