Red Fish Pâté
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. This appetizing red fish pâté will taste much richer if you refrigerate it for 1–2 hours. The aroma of green onion will permeate the whole dish and harmonize perfectly with the fish. Serve the pâté best at lunch or dinner with unsweetened baked goods, crispbreads, and crackers.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the specified ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Peel the chicken eggs, rinse them in water, and dice them. Transfer the diced eggs to a blender bowl or a deep container if you will be using an immersion blender.
- 3
Step 3

Wash the green onion stalks, pat dry, and finely chop. Add the chopped greens to the egg mixture. If desired, you can also use dill; it pairs perfectly with red fish.
- 4
Step 4

Cut lightly salted red fish of any kind into pieces and add it to the other prepared ingredients. If you have fresh fish on hand, first poach it in a small amount of water, then pull it apart by hand into pieces, removing the bones.
- 5
Step 5

Add a little salt and ground black pepper; process everything for 3–5 minutes until it becomes a pâté.
- 6
Step 6

Place the prepared dish in a ramekin or a small bowl, and serve at the table with slices of bread, crackers, and other unsweetened baked goods.
